Ticket sales will commence at 12:01 AM on January 17th 2025.
Ticket sales will end at midnight on May 16th 2025.
Individuals must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a raffle ticket and win a prize.
Each raffle ticket costs $50.00, For each raffle ticket sold, Rutherford County Young Marines will give the ticket holder one (1) entry for the raffle drawing. Each entry will be identified with the ticket holder’s name and email confirmation number.
Rutherford County Young Marines will not distribute any free or discounted tickets.
Tickets must be purchased online on the Rutherford County Young Marines website – Ticket holders will receive a confirmation email. The email confirmation will serve as the purchaser’s raffle ticket. Tickets are not valid until the credit card has cleared.
There is no limit on how many tickets may be purchased.
Unsold raffle tickets become the property of the Rutherford County Young Marines.
Odds of winning a prize are based on number of tickets sold.
The raffle will be hosted by ”chance2win.org,” a third party company.
The Rutherford County Young Marines prize drawings will take place on May 17th 2025 (unless postponed or canceled in accordance with these rules). The winners will be announced at an event which will take place at the VFW Smyrna Post 8422 on May 17th 2025 at 1:00 P.M..
POLICIES
Rutherford County Young Marines reserves the right to postpone the Rutherford County Young Marines Raffle for any reason. Should this occur, registered ticket holders who provide an email address will be notified by email, and a notice will be placed on the Rutherford County Young Marines website – https://youngmarines.com/unit/rutherfordcounty/page
Rutherford County Young Marines reserves the right to modify the Rutherford County Young Marines Raffle for any reason including, but not limited to, insufficient ticket sales. If the Rutherford County Young Marines Raffle is canceled, all ticket holders will receive a refund of the purchase price. If there are insufficient ticket sales then the raffle will become a 50/50 drawing from all tickets purchased.
If the event is held, The listed prize will be awarded. In the event that a listed prize is not available, a substitution of a like prize will be made.
Rutherford County Young Marines reserves the right to cut off ticket sales at any time prior to the raffle drawings.
The winning name will be posted on the Rutherford County Young Marines website after the event.
Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be notified as to how and where to claim their prize, and are responsible for all expenses incurred in picking up their prize.
Only the ticket holder whose name is on a winning ticket may claim the applicable prize. Proper identification including proof of 18 years of age or older and a social security number are required by law to claim the prize.
Prize winners are responsible for all shipping expenses should they request the prize be shipped to them. International shipments may be subject to tariffs.
If the winner does not claim his/her prize within thirty (30) days of the Event, the prize shall be forfeited.
TAXES
Rutherford County Young Marines will pay for income tax associated with the value of the prize, except if the raffle is modified to a 50/50. The winning ticket holder must complete the necessary IRS Form W2g in order to receive prize.
Winner is responsible for title, registration, and license fees.
Purchase price may not be deducted as a charitable contribution. The IRS does not permit charitable deductions for games of chance.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Upon purchase of a ticket, ticket holder agrees to the following terms and conditions:
Email confirmation will serve as the purchaser’s raffle ticket.
Possession of the email confirmation is not a requirement to win.
Tickets are not transferable or redeemable for cash (except as set forth above).
This ticket is a revocable license.
Each raffle ticket must contain only one individual’s name. For example: “Mr. and Mrs. John Doe” is not acceptable since that represents two people. Only one person can claim the drawn prize associated with a winning ticket.
Rutherford County Young Marines reserves the right, without the refund of any portion of the ticket purchase price, to refuse admission or to remove from the event any person who fails to comply with the rules of the venue, these terms and conditions, and all applicable laws.
No refunds or exchanges are permitted.
The Event is rain or shine; no refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
For purposes of promoting the raffle, ticket holders hereby authorize Rutherford County Young Marines to use their name, their photographs, sound and/or video of them, and other media in connection with the raffle without compensation to the ticket holder.
Rules may be amended at any time. All revisions will be posted on the Rutherford County Young Marines website.
Ticket holders’ contact information will be added to the Rutherford County Young Marines mailing list but will not be shared with others. Ticket holders may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.
The Event will be recorded.
All prizes are awarded to winners on an “AS-IS” and “as available” basis as provided to Rutherford County Young Marines.
Rutherford County Young Marines makes no promises, warranties, or representations of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and any such warranties are expressly disclaimed. Once a prize is claimed by the ticket holder, it is the property of the ticket holder and Rutherford County Young Marines is not responsible for its condition, operation or the ticket holder’s satisfaction with it.
Rutherford County Young Marines and its employees, agents, contractors, officers, directors and trustees shall NOT be liable in any way for any damages whatsoever, including any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages or loss of profits to any ticket holder, participant or winner resulting from or arising out of the Rutherford County Young Marines Raffle.
Rutherford County Young Marines members and their immediate family or board members are not eligible to purchase Rutherford County Young Marines Raffle tickets nor win prizes.
